Bio
Jeremy Cordonnier aka ”Oceania” was born in 1987. Starting at the early age 8, he was classically trained on the piano, which led him towards a love for music. As he grew up in the late 90’s he found a love for the melodic, uplifting style of Trance. At this early age of 14 he was invited to some DJ/Producer classes, which in turn taught him the basics about ”Trance”. Although starting with basic programs such as Dance Ejay, he soon moved up to professional sequencers such as Cubase SX and Reason. After years of learning about these programs and building a very good knowledge of them, he decide to take it a step further by studying a Degree in Music Production which has taught him more than he could have imagined. His career started back in 2006, with budding producer Niall Hone aka ”Bare Bones Project” getting their first tune ”Molina” signed to Trance Tribe Recordings under the alias Seventh Function. Although doing a remix for Fabio Stein, Jeremy didn’t have the equipment to pursue his career and unfortunately took a back seat to his Degree expenses. Now with a new studio Jeremy is ready to make his mark in trance with his first release ”Never forget” signed to Well Mixed Records with more to come in the near future.

lets begin! So where do you from?I was born in France. But has moved in Brighton City, English!
Where you study/work? Whats profession you study/whom work?
Brighton University, studying Music Production BA and work for British Airport Authorities
What has brought U to Trance? Why you has chosen this genre of electronic music?
Not sure first album i brought was the offspring and then next thing you know i found trance, so i would say Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Signum, Lange , Terra Ferma and loads more got me into it!
What tracks was making more influence for you then?
Balearic Bill - Destination sunshine " that ibiza airport sample", Terra Ferma - Terra Ferma, Binary Finary - 1999, Mauro Piccotto - Lizard
Loads more pretty much the ld gate crasher stuff ... the old gate crasher stuff
And what is your favourite track now?
Got to be Andy Duguid - Falling
Who is you favorite producer/musician?
Not sure really, The Thrillseekers, he always does such good music, every track sounds like someone else, never the same sounds used always fresh
How you reacted when your tracks played such stars as Armin and Above&Beyond? Do you consider that is peak for you or not?
I couldn’t believe it as it was only my 1st remix and second production, considering it won future favourite, but I hope its not my peak I’ve got lots more material coming soon one being on Vandit and others going to be under a new alias..... not saying who though! might hold a small competition and give away something to the first person who works it out!
What music do you listening except Trance?
Some indie, masive attack, minimal tech and electro
What soft/hardware do you use for creating a music?
Hardware is quad core 12.4 gHz Pc, novation xio 49, m-audio soundcard, fostex pm-1 monitors and some yamaha ns-10 replicas
And Software is Nuendo, with lots of VST's, Reason, protools, and ableton
With whom you wanted to have collaboration work?
I would have to say above and beyond, ronski speed or kyau and albert
And with wich vocal you want to work? wich vocal do you like most?
Aruna but saying that i think there is a lot of talented singers waiting to be used!!
What do you think about producers who create tracks really fast
Amazing to start with but after a few hits nothing else apears.
Do you want produce music in differend ways?
Well sort of i just want to make what i like....
On what action you wanted play as DJ? .... in what country? and with whom you wanted to stand for DJ stuff?
Well id like to start djing worldwide but cant really much about it untill i finish my degree
What your plans for the future in creative activity and in the private life?
Well to finish my degree and to start djing out! hopefully live of that so i can carry on doing what i love best!
